Gospel (von Englisch: gospel = Evangelium, Gute Nachricht; hergeleitet vom Altenglischen godspel, god = gut und spel = Erzählung, Nachricht) oder Gospelmusik bezeichnet christliche afro-amerikanische Musik des 20. und 21. Jahrhunderts.
Im engeren Sinne wird unter Gospel die Kirchenmusik afroamerikanischer Gemeinden verstanden, die sich durch Jazz- und Blueseinflüsse auszeichnet (siehe Black Gospel). In weiterem Sinn wird der Begriff auch für christliche Musik im angelsächsischen Raum bis hin zu christlicher Popmusik im allgemeinen verwendet.
