Hardcore Metal, oder auch Metalcore ist ein Musikgenre, das vorwiegend auf Elemente aus Heavy Metal, Melodic Death Metal und Hardcore Punk zurückgreift. In Anspielung an die New Wave of British Heavy Metal wird die seit 2003 boomende Musikrichtung auch aufgrund der Vielzahl amerikanischer Bands in diesem Genre New Wave of American Heavy Metal genannt.
